We’ve been very slow about updating the blog lately and have a whole season of weddings to put up along with our new website which is coming soon… But the good news is we started a facebook page and we’ve been updating that with current weddings and portrait sessions! So please become a fan and check out some of our most recent work.
Sarah and I are lucky to share a good friend, Cheryl.
Cheryl has been known to model for me on occasion, does makeup for some of my clients (including Sarah on this shoot), and is a costumer for the opera (how cool is that!?!); I feel fortunate to have been referred between friends, and we all had a great time together.
For Sarah and Brandon’s engagement portraits, they were looking for images that showed off the beautiful city of San Francisco.
We started at Union Square.
Moving on to Coit tower, we found a perfect view of the city on a perfectly beautiful day.
An old pier along the Embarcadero was our last stop; these are some of my favorites, enjoy!
We’ve launched all new websites at www.mischaweddings.com and www.mischaportraits.com as well as moving our blog to this new location at www.mischablog.com. We would love your feedback on our new sites, so please let us know what you think!
www.photomischa.com will remain as our gateway and all proofing will continue to use that address.

We’re going to be at the Modern Bridal faire this Sunday at the San Francisco Ritz Carlton. So if you’d like a chance to see some of our stuff in person as well as a host of other wedding vendors, then come on down. The doors are open from 11am to 4pm. Email us if you’d like more details or check out their website at www.modernbridal.com
Our new website should be launching early next week as well… so check back soon for a new format with new galleries!
Happy New Year!

I just was chosen for the cover of the new Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area (www.ppgba.org) bulletin.
Which reminds me, I forgot to post that I got another wedding wedding photograph of the month winning image with “Wet Kiss” as seen in the bulletin (same as the swimming pool image from the last post).
I’m really excited, that makes 3 out of 4 I entered this year in the wedding category… And I just entered them all in the year end competition, so wish me luck!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannuka, and Happy New Years to everyone!

I entered another print in competition this month at the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area where I have the honor of serving on the board of directors. And guess what! Ok so it already said it in the post title… I got print of the month in the wedding category!!!! So without further ado, here’s the image:

“Romance Under Light” taken at Ruby Hills Golf Club on August 3rd at the beautiful wedding of Lyndsey & Dan
There were just a couple of critiques of the image which have actually been fixed already on this version… except, I need a new title! So if you have any title suggestions, I’m all ears. I’d like to send this print in to the national competitions and a better title would go a long way! Thanks for all your support!

Well it’s been a very exciting and super busy last couple of months!!!
Among other things I went to France to photograph a wedding for Tatiana & Bill which was absolutely amazing! I promise to post some photos soon! Afterwards I got to take a much needed vacation and ended up on a roadtrip from Belgium to Sweden and back with a side trip to Berlin. There are so many stories to tell I don’t know where to start, but feel free to ask
Now I’m back in the thick of things having photographed 4 weddings over the last 9 days! And wow, each and every one of them was just amazing! I feel really lucky to have so many wonderful clients this year!
I’d also like to take a moment to welcome Diana Marie who is the latest member of the Mischa Photography team. She’s taking over much of the office work, so I have more time to create art!
Time permitting, I’ll be uploading photos from all of these great weddings in the next week or two, but in the meantime here’s a self portrait I took in Paris. This is not a Photoshopped image. It really is blue and will be for the next 6 months.
It’s been a very busy week over here and I’ve got lots of sessions to post but not enough time… so I thought I’d just update and let everyone know what’s been going on here at the studio.
We’ve got 2 great new engagement sessions to post, one beautiful maternity session, and a 4 month old baby came in and modeled with some of our new props including a Grecian column, mini claw foot bathtub and wicker basket. These are all going to be really fun and I can’t wait to finish retouching them so I can post them already
And on top of all that I just took a fabulous class all day today with celebrity wedding photographer Joe Buissink and Australian wedding photographer Yervant (one of my personal favorite wedding photographers). I learned a bunch of great new stuff and can’t wait to start incorporating it.
2008 is now fully booked!!! So, unless you’re planning on taking me out of the country for a particularly fun destination wedding, you better push your wedding back to next year
Except, on the off chance that someone reading this is getting married in Europe in mid July, I’ll be in France photographing a wedding on July 5th near Tours and will be hanging around just for fun until probably July 23rd… So if you or someone you know is getting married in Europe during that window, I could probably be persuaded to photograph it and you’d save on airfare
And now to wrap up this post I’ll leave you with an image of my grandpa I took on a recent visit to Los Angeles. Enjoy!
